Urban Hearth is partnering with Chef Emily Taylor to feature Nordic foods through the cold months. The pop-ups will run from 12pm - 6pm and are first come first serve, no reservations required. Items are available for in-house enjoyment or to take away.
Dec 1: Iceland
Starting off Dec 1 with traditional Icelandic foods. A hearty lamb and potato soup called Kjötsúpa, one of the staples of Icelandic cooking. This will be served with steamed geyser bread and butter, cardamom donuts and other cozy treats to warm your heart and soul.
Dec 15: Sweden
On Dec 15 Swedish foods will be featured. A yellow split pea soup alongside a few open face sandwiches to keep you full while doing your holiday shopping. Emily's Kardemummabullar (swedish cardamom buns) are NOT to be missed and will feature fresh ground Curio cardamom.
Urban Hearth Holiday Market
A market will be set up alongside the Nordic pop-ups with a variety of gifts and goods including baked goods like famous biscuits, bottled cocktails like house nocino and gluhwein to toast to the holidays.
Emily fell in love with Nordic foods while backpacking across Scandinavia. Since then she has been recreating tastes and feelings from those cozy northern locations. Normally she is a massage therapist, doula, coach and healer, so expect healing energy to work its way into the food.
